Claude Code v2.1.318 has been released. It includes fixes for sign-in expiration displays, macOS session stalling due to memory growth, and permission prompt behavior.
Claude Code v2.1.318 has been released. It adds a record of answers when Claude Code asks to turn on mods written during a session. The assume_role feature was added to mantle upstreams of the Claude apps gateway to allow roles in other AWS accounts and per-developer AWS cost attribution. An effort option was added to a mod's $.model.fork, allowing quick side jobs to run at low effort relative to the session. Regarding authentication, the end date of a stored claude.ai sign-in was added to claude auth status (loginExpiresAt) and claude -p JSON results (credential_expires_at), with a one-line stderr warning appearing 10 days before expiration.
Fixes include a regression in 2.1.314 where --continue sometimes lost earlier conversations after malformed tool call retries, and macOS sessions stalling due to memory growth while running many Bash commands. Additionally, issues were fixed where permission prompts were answered by keys typed just after sending a message or before a slow prompt appeared, and where /logout or MCP setting changes reported success despite config file update failures on shared network home directories. It also addresses jobs exiting with 'Not logged in' when another terminal or host signs into the same account and organization on the same home.
